Not to mention, it comes in a truly extensive shade range for all skin tones…this is a drugstore concealer done well! Lightweight and easy-to-blend, the fragrance-free formula is also long-lasting with a natural matte finish. Bottom Lineįor under $10, Covergirl TruBlend Undercover Concealer is a fabulous find that ticks off all the right boxes in terms of texture, coverage and finish! Whether you want to disguise dark circles or cover up acne scars, this is a solid concealer with nearly full coverage that won’t cake or crease. I don’t set my concealer with a powder but if you do, that might help avoid this problem. The only issue I encountered a couple of times was a little bit of settling in the fine lines under my eyes towards the end of the day, so that required a quick touchup to buff out with a brush. You can start with a light hand for more medium coverage and the formula is easily buildable, but not a whole lot is needed! Here are the swatches of the 4 shades I have:Ĭovergirl TruBlend Undercover Concealer swatches It also does a great job when it comes to camouflaging dark spots, blemishes and acne scars with medium to full coverage that stays put even on very oily skin (as tried-and-tested by my friend Rachel!) The coverage is also excellent as advertised! The concealer gives me almost full coverage that holds up really well throughout the day, with only minor fading after 8-9 hours of wear.Īs I said before, I only need one dip of the concealer to go underneath my eyes and it disguises my dark circles quite nicely without looking cakey or overly made up. What I really love is that the finish is not overly matte and doesn’t look flat/drab or cakey. True to its claims, Covergirl TruBlend Undercover Concealer has a velvety matte finish workable for all skin types. And it doesn’t feel heavy or thick, which cannot be said for many full coverage concealers out there (I’m looking at you L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer) Some concealers are drier and require more effort to even out but not this one. The texture is not too creamy but it has just enough slip to work with and smooth over skin easily. Speaking of the formula, it’s lightweight, smooth and blends out easily. With this one, I just need to apply one dab underneath each eye and blend…no need to re-dip for more! It’s soft, cushiony and applies the concealer smoothly and easily. I really like this large, fluffy doe applicator (it looks almost exactly the same as the applicator for Tarte Shape Tape concealer!) It picks up and holds a generous amount of product really well. In addition to an inclusive shade range, the new Covergirl TruBlend Undercover Concealer promises a lightweight yet full coverage matte finish formula (vegan) that’s easy to blend and lasts all day, no caking or cracking! Does it really live up to its claims?
